Thats not so bad for a V6, especially one as small as 3.1L. The way you get a good 0-60 time is have big torque-which generally means big cubic inches. You can also get good 0-60 times by other means such as a supercharger as well. But, with a naturally aspirated engine the only way is to have more displacement.
If you get a chance, you should make a page about your car at
www.cardomain.com
(if you haven't already). I did one for my car quite some time ago and I got all kinds of responses and ideas for people how had simular projects. Plus, you can display your car and its modifications to other enthuasiasts.

Thanks Richie! Yes I do have a page there already, I am dead willing to get a turbo charger but unfortunetely they do not make a kit for my car, I would have to custom make my headers, I have most of the internals already, but then get the larger exhaust and the intercooler piping all custom made which would be rather expensive, plus the stage 3 HKS turbo which i had at my house but then sent back
I will get some better pictures of my car, these ones are crappy!

Yes it is a Beretta, Good observation. I know you just didn't say it, your rolling your eyes because I am spending money on a car that is not "popular" well guess what, I am having fun with it and yes it is a challenge, most things have to be custom made and it makes it all the more fun, so you can go f*ck yourself alright.
What kind of car do you drive? This one costed me $2,000 and it had 46,000 miles which is damn good for a 1994, I have up to $4,000 in mods in it right now so I am not in the mood for little pricks dissing it like its nothing.
Sorry if I made a scence just people dont need to be jerks about things, always has to be some smart a$$ comments.

Don't worry about it dude, I wouldn't even give him that satasfaction. Sure, its a Beretta but you like it and thats all that matters. In my experience, no matter what kind of car you have someone will make a comment like that. For example, about a year and a half ago I bought a 1969 Camaro (my dream car). I didn't even have it a month and someone asked me "why would you want an old Camaro, thats what everyone wants?" They bascially accused me of just getting it because it is a popular model (so, I wasn't being original), they never even considered that it might have been the car of my dreams.
So, with people who make comments like that-you just can't win. If you get a super popular model you get accused of trying to be "part of the fab" or not being original. If you get a lesser popular model, you get comments like "its a beretta....................... " Therefore, don't worry about them. Don't even acknowledge them. I have been around modified a customized cars for a long time, I there are many things that I really don't like. But I never make destructive comments like that to the people who built them, there just isn't a good reason to.

I think that's a cool, subtle little street fighter you got there. I see a lot of cheaply-done, whiny, showoff-y Hondas around here that always sound like the tranny's going to explode, and fishtail like crazy when Mr. Badass puts the hammer down. I laugh at them as they pass me in my Geo Tracker...

Yeah I can take most of those hondas, my friend has one, 1994 Honda Civic, 1.5 Liter with 17" Rims and full exhaust, I think I could beat it in reverse! LOL, they are nice looking cars though, I fully support him, we are best friends!
RichieB your a good man, Thanks for the support!

My local "street-racers" laugh at my "stock*" '96 Jetta until I fire it up (I don't actually have a license, but there's nothing wrong with firing-it-up to stop it seizing-up)
Once it's all warmed-up, if you closed your eyes, you wouldn't think it's a Jetta 8), I got a few friends in the "specialist" business to play with my engine/exhaust config.
They fitted a custom exhaust, I now have quad pipes (two either side of the number (license) plate, tuned the engine and added so much stuff under the bonnet (hood) it's ridiculous
Anyways, once I get my license I'm gonna show those punks what it's really like
, their Fiesta's, Golf's, Neon's etc... will be eating dust
They guys who did the work reckon with the right timing on my shifts I could probably out-accelerate a Ferrari (I doubt it tho'
)
Anyways, I really like the look of your ride, it kinda says "I may be uncool, but my engine is gonna help me kick your a$$!"
. . . . .
Cheers,
GM
* They call it stock because there are NO external mods (except for the exhaust), I even have the stock rims on it
