I get to go to (maybe)

TICO Warbird air show (March 11-13)

Orlando Air Fair  Early April

Will probably miss LAkeland Sun'n'Fun *mid April* as current plans are to go to PR to bury my mom's cremains.

Indeed. One of those things that you really really wanna try out.

"come on please please hand me the keys to the space ship, I'll give you a dollar!"

The first big event of the season is the Spring Air Display at Old Warden on May 1st.  All being well both Charlie & I will be there so if you can possibly make it we can all meet up. I guarantee that anyone with the silghtest interest in aviation will enjoy it.

What Doug says is very true, and I will be there too, armed with camera and picnic.

Don't know yet about the rest of the year - I'll try and get to Duxford and OW as much as I can, but maybe give the biggies at Waddo/Fairford a miss to rest my eardrums... Smiley

Ya, bloody airshows can do damage to your ears.

Worth it though. Wink

Speaking of noise, this is not the most sensible thing I ever did. Roll Eyes Taken with my old Fuji F401 - no zoom necessary. This wasn't even at an air display. My ears are still ringing now. Shocked

PS. Warning. Don't try this at home without industrial quality ear protection.

Due to my exams, I miss some good shows around here such as Zeltweg Airpower in Austria, Red Bull Airrace in Rotterdam and the Paris Airshow featuring the A380 (in flight) and probably the Su-30... Sad

Those on my list for now are some local (small) shows around here and off course the RIAT at Fairford. There are plans to go to the Czech Intl. Airfest in Brno and the Edwards Open House (if they don't cancel it this time) or Aviation Nation at Nellis...but I first have to get the budget together.  Wink
