F-1 season is upon us again.  THANK GOD.

Any predicitons?

Does anyone know what teams are going to start off the season with brand new cars?  I am unclear about why there is such a fuss about Ferrari releasing their car in Barcelona, and not Melborne.  Also I don't understand why the rules would encourage teams to release the cars at the first race

Ferrari are now looking at Bahrain depending on how the F2004B or whatever they are calling it goes. The simple reason for the rush, is because of the downforce. The main bodywork of last years cars were not designed for the new rules and regulations on downforce. They are that sensitive. The new rule on no tyre changes is also a reason why, the weight had to be adjusted and balance to stop excessive wear. New cars to start? Mclaren, Williams, BAR, Jordan, Renault, Toyota and Red Bull Racing, are all running the new cars to the best of my knowledge, but i havent really been checking lately so i am not 100%. Ferrari go interim, Sauber might be going interim and Minardi are using the old car.

If last years cars don't comply with the new Aero regs, then why don't they just require teams to start the season with new cars?

Luckily Schumi was knocked off by Nick Heidfeld. Was Schumi's own fault though. So as Renault takes first and third place this race let's hope Schumi's days are over and some other drivers can get a chance. Not that I don't want Ferrari to win some races, but I have had enough of Mr. Michael Schumacher.

Sorry to dissapoint you crash, but the only chance the other teams have is the first 3 races. Once the new Ferrari is in use its going to destroy the competition. The old one shows it still has pace with Barrichellos finish. I think Qualifying decided the race, however i was dissapointed with Mclaren, once again they are a looong way off. Red Bull racing were without a doubt the surprise of the race and i predict a top 3 finish in the constructors by them. Also shows what Coulthard can do when given a competitive car and a good team. Malaysia will show the real teams from the no-hopers, its humidity plays havoc with a new engine, lets see what it does to those teams who wont have changed their engines.
