A while ago I bought the PSS Airbus 330 and the Captain Sim 727.

I fly a lot in flight simulator, especially online under human ATC. I use flightprojectfor that.

Just recently Flight project developed a new "virtual transponder" that works wonders with FS 2004, the
ATOC Pilot Client (IPI-ExPress)
-
Version: 1.9j
. All you have to do is install it, create an account on their web site, enter your account in the transponder (you do it only once, during set up) and up you go.

Most of the online flight services have complicated installation of all sort of software. FPI (flight project) has the best installation. YOu just install one thing, once. And you are done. It comes with everything, transponder, radio, integrated voice with controllers. You can even switch frequencies on the aircraft radio and it will automatically open a voice channel to that controller, if the controller is online. It's freaky!

Anyway ... here's some pictures:

Here I was practicing touch and goes with the Captain Sim 727:

It's quite a rush to start a touch and go with a big-ass jet like the 727. You raise the flaps, go full power and you can feel the engines charging up and pushing while still rolling on the ground.

The 727 by Captain Sim is really good in giving that feel of "jet engine power".

This instead is a flight (at night ... a little dark) with an Airbus 330 (by PSS) from NY to Jacksonville ... still under FPI ATC.

Planes have the livery of the VA I belong to: Cyber Air

Yes I am a bad boy ...  Sad I spend a lot of money on payware models. I am a sucker for beatiful planes.  Undecided

Flight project.

Greatest thing ever.

I advertise it shamelessly every chance I get.  Grin

Welcome to SimV!
Nice shots, is Cyber Air your VA?
Nice planes, but perhaps you could post more that one thread, so you wouln't have to reduce size so much to fit in all your shots, resulting in loss of quality.
I noticed that your shots are exceptionally small in size, so just a suggestion....

Also, just an FYI:

I have never done online ATC.  I should do that sometime- it looks fun and I'm sure it adds a layer of realism!

What does this mean? I don't understand. These pictures are hosted on my site ... is that not allowed?

Yep. Check out  This thread for the Pete's (the ringmaster of this circus) explanation.  It's not an issue of file space.

Oh yeah. That 727 is a pregnant elephant.

Nice, powerful, heavy ... it has a HORRIBLE adverse yaw (try using the ailerons without using the rudder at slow speed ... see how fast you get in trouble).

It has a IMMENSE momentum. You gotta be careful to use the controls JUST RIGHT. Any excessive use of the controls and it will overbank, overpitch or overaccelerate ... the engines are powerful but the are slow as molasses to rev up or down ...

Yep ... FUN FUN FUN!!!

word of advice: keep your speed up on approach. 140 knots does the trick. Don't fall at 120. You can and the plane will fly but when you'll go to flare the plane will just pitch up and continue to sink like a brick ... right into the runway.

Fly the plane at 130-140 all the way to the runway and throttle back only when you start the flare.

Keep your approach RIGHT on the glideslope. YOu can't do steep approaches with this bird ... you try that, you smack into the ground.

Thank you for posting that!

I read the explanation and the explanation is just plain wrong. that's not the way a web server works at all.

When you host pictures yourself all THIS server will see is just text in the message. The text happens to be a URL to another location but it won't make a difference for the web server. IT's still just text.

So that explanation doesn't make sense (in case you are wondering I am a web manager).

But really doesn't matter to me. If that's the way they want it that's the way they get it. If anything what the are asking us to do will put MORE strain on their server ... not mine.

No skin off my nose.  Cheesy

I will upload here 2-3 pictures to this server when I post screenis and pics, and link to my site for all the rest of the pictures ( like to take TONS of them) ... so I won't kill this server.  Grin Cheesy

Thanks!

I actually find the 727 the easiest aircraft to fly ( I have basicly every payware airliner in my hangar) It's especially joyful during approach! So stable and you really feel the inertia. Just keep the FF at 3500 and you'll be allright.

I'm using Dreamfleets 727, which is a better product overall, and the FDE is simply awesome. The way you describe it is just typical Captain Sim handling, ie not really realistic. Same things can be noticed with CS 707...  Sad

Try the DF 727 and you'll never look back, I know I didn't

thanks to both of you for the approach tips  Smiley.
yeah, i've heard lots of people say the dreamfleet version is the better one. when i bought the cs 727 the df one wasn't released yet and i just heard later on about how good it would be, that did made me wonder if i made the wrong choice. but i really enjoy my 727 even though i can't fly it for sh*t Grin.
i'll keep studying and someday i will actually understand how to properly fly those aircraft Smiley
