Why are Half of the files that are offered to be downloaded not working at all?

The vast majority - way over 99.9% - of links are fine.

Whenever an alert of a broken link is sent to me it gets fixed.

anyway not all downloads are working, per example the spruce goose on vintage page 21 of fs2004 and most planes in the gliders and ultralights section, i use opera and i have this message:
550 file not found permission denied


i supose that its a major problem because most files i try to download just don't!!!

i dont like it!

I have the same problem too....usually on larger files useing IE but if it dosen't work here I just head to nonodes no biggy
