Probably the best aircraftI have ever seen. I was at Southend Airport when I was told and Australian BAe 748 would be landing. It has traveled all the way from Australia (obviously stopping loads on the way!)! Most of all there are TWO MORE DUE IN!!!!!
It is in storage parked on the weston side of Southend Airport on the end of a taxiway. If you are going to Southend Airport, to see it you will have to go down Aviation Way until you you get to a dead end. And 2 F27's will be right next to you and the 748 at the end of the tarmac!

Nice to see some coming back home. If you been around the mega secret superbase near Salisbury in the last few months you would have seen the RAF's 748 out almost everyday. It went into storage about a fortnight ago. I just wish I'd had my camera when I went flying on it. The Andovers are still going though...

Do you have more information on why they're here & what's going to happen to them? I have a special interest in what I've always known as the Avro 748 as I was involved with support for this aircraft for many years until I retired. It's popular all over the world but I'm not aware of too many still operating here in the UK.

I have no more info on it.
All I know is that it is either being sold to someone who owns the 2 F27's or it is being sold.
I also know that there are two more due in.

OK thanks. I can probably find out more about this from my own contacts. If I do I'll keep you informed. I suppose you don't know who owns those F27s?

That's why they give the short one for linking to.
