The Travel Air is the tenth package that Bill Lyons has made for FS9. They were all payware but last year he made the first five packages freeware. Bill is known almost as much for his awsome scenery as he is for the aircraft itself! He makes quaint little airparks that really make you believe that you are flying back in the olden days!

INTRO:
From the moment I started flying the Travel Air, I knew it was made for people to have fun. It is quite simply the most fun you can have in Flight Simulator. I'm no pro at what a classic aircraft should fly like but I can tell you one thing...this one is fun! And it just feels right to fly. Anyone can fly it, from the gentle take off to the gentle three point landing, the Travel Air was made for people to have fun!

LOOKS:
The Travel Air looks great, even up close.

...

One cool thing is that the passenger's scarf blows in the wind! Subtle, but a neat effect none the less! Theres not much else to say about the looks, other than they look great!

Looks 9/10

SOUND:
The sound is also great! I noticed that some of the different models included, sound different. For example, the normal two seat Travel Air has a higher pitched sound while the solo seated Pepsi Skywriter(More on that later!) has more of a throaty sound to it. Again, subtle, but really cool! Like all of Bill's aircraft, you can hear the wind rushing past the aircraft. This is most noticeble when you have the engine cut. Sound is excellent!

Sound: 9/10

FLYING:
Ahh, now to the best part, the actual flying of the aircraft! This could not be better! There's nothing more fun than taking off and doing some aerobatics with the Pepsi single seater!

...

It's very rewarding doing aerobatics with the Travel Air. It takes some getting used to, but is not all that difficult once you get the hang of it!

...

Landings are very gentle. It works best if you have the throttle at idle for the approach. Flying this bird couldn't be better!

Flying: 10/10

EXTRAS:
Bill always includes neat extras with his packages and the Travel Air is no exception! The coolest thing is the train, which you can chase. There is so much fun to be had chasing the train!!

...

Also, Bill included some custimization. Check this out!

...

Another cool thing is the radio. You can listen to CD's and some songs that they have included which are really cool. I love being able to listen to my favorite band while flying!

Extras:
10/10

OVERALL:
Now, you're probably thinking that this runs about $30. Right? Wrong. All of Bill's packages are only $12.50!! Whats a deal! You get so much for such a little price it's hard to pass up! So I obviously reccomend this one. It's by far my favorite payware! Go out and buy it now!

Overall(not an average):
10/10
