Can anyonehelp me with an FS9 based site devoted to gliding?     I know we have the default glider in ACOF but want to explore the subject a bit more (I have some gliding flights coming up.)

This could save me some time on the search engines if someone has already been there and done that...tks...

Hi Baz, well first find the glider nearest to the one you'll be flying on either;
http://www.simviation.com/fsgliders_11.htm
http://www.simviation.com/fsgliders_10.htm
or http://www.simviation.com/fsgliders_9.htm
Bracken Dawsons thermals add-on really makes things better I find.
There isn't one pure glider (sailplane) site but if you give us specific questions we'll try and help. I did a fair bit of gliding as an air cadet.

Thanks Mark,

I'll have a look at the thermal add-on, this was something I was wondering about, I didn't think for a moment that  it was possible that every hill, cliff and/or mountain would supply the thermals.     Obviously without them any gliding trips would be one way only - down.

Was recently in Omarama in NZ's South Island where many of the worlds records have been set and had a good look around.

I have been led to believe there is a Swedish site dedicated to the FlightSim side of the sport....?

Can you read Swedish? Shocked
Okay it might be worth dropping Theis a line, he is our resident Norwegian, but he might be able to help, he is a really nice guy (I was flying with him yesterday) Wink
