Hey all, I'm having a problem getting the graphics to look a lot smoother, i.e the text or cheet lines on the side of the aircraft look blured out and are hard to read. The stink of it is I managed to sort it out a wile ago but do you think I can remember how to fix it!? My resolution is running at 1152x864. My pc is a 1.8gig with 256mg ram driving a gforce4mx420 video card. When I had it right it looked and ran fantastic. I'm only 32 years old but I think the brain is failing me!!! Sad

Have you tried backing up the FS9.cfg file and putting it into a different location, then restarting the sim?

This rebuilds everything, so you will have to go in and make your personal changes again, but if you aren't happy with the results you can always throw the backed up file back in..Wink

Textures can be blurry sometimes these textures are designed to fix that problem:
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets1.htm

There are many more in the early pages of each section of aircraft, so just look around and you will find them all.

There should be a Quality or High Quality setting in your Video card's driver settings. Anisotropic Filtering clears up the distance textures as well, but the 420 is gonna suffer with it in FPS.

At anything other than a slight angle, the aircraft textures do blur, also they blur as the level of SHINE is increased when the painter adjusts them.

But you had it working before, I think I remember a thread a while ago............... I just don't remember the outcome.
