Okay I finaly completed my first scenery item...the Texas Cross that stands along side interstate 40 east of Amarillo Texas. I made it in Gmax. My question is: how do I get it in the game? I know it has to be converted to another kind of file...but I have never done that before. Help......please??? LOL

I'd need a little more information to tell you for sure. Do you mean that you modeled it in Gmax and are wanting to create a scenery to get it into MSFS?
Or do you mean that you have made the 3D model and used a scenery editor and the scenery isn't showing?
In the first case you will need to convert the 3D object into an api macro file then use a scenery editor like FSSC (FS Scenery Creator) to make a scenery file for the sim.
Once you have that you export it through the scenery program into a folder. The folder should have two subfolders "Scenery" and "Texture". Simply put this into whatever add on scenery location you use for your sim and activate it through the "Add Scenery" dialog in the sim just like a downloaded scenery file.
For the second situation I would definately need more info to give any instructions.

You have to compile it and make a bgl file out of it. Check out the tutorials for making a 3d house it will tell you how to do this. 8)

THIS
is probably the best tutorial you will find on that subject, read it, it will tell you what you need and how to put an object where you want it in FS.
Lots more good stuff too
