If you don´t want to install additional software, You can just open your DOS prompt (start/execute/ cmd) and type
"ipconfig" this shows your ip´s. But it only works when you are directly connected to the internet without a router.

WELL....
I put in the IP that it said but nothing showed and... another question. When you multiplayer do you give someone the IP and everyone goes on that IP or do you go on yours and they go on theirs?
Thanks for the help
EDIT--- Never mind

Everyone, when you click the link, the number that you see is the way the
World Wide Web
sees your computer. If you run a Router, that number will NOT be actual.
To get the ACTUAL number for your
LOCAL MACHINE
(your gaming machine), go to Start, Run, type 'CMD' and a new window will pop up. Type "ipconfig". Mine is 192.168.1.101, but the World Wide Web sees it as
68.61.7.XXX
. Confusing? yes... but it's important information to run ANY game online, whether it's Flight Sim or not.
NOTE:
If you are NOT running any routers and the two numbers are different, its because of the way your ISP runs and there really isn't much you can do about it except call them.
P.S. I figured I would add this post because Routers are becoming more and more popular, and learning about them is VERY important for a great on-line experience.
