AFCAD2 for FS9 has been mentioned at this site
and if one cannot create an new airport using this free program it's time to fold the tent!
click File/New and fill and the stuff: like coordinates, name etc.,
IMO, it cannot be made any smipler . . .

Depends what version of FS you have.
If 04 or 02then you can use AFCAD2 but you would probably better using Scenegenx as it will be compatible with FS2006 whereas I doubt AFCAD2 wil be.
If you want to create objects rather than use default library objects then you could use one of many but GMAX will be forward compatible whereas EOD and others probably wont be.
So if your new to it then you may as well learn the stuff thats going to be around for a while

AFCAD2 is XML based so no problem there. It's just that it's a little more hidden than in SceneGenX.
I'm out of touch right now and have very little time for scenery design or simming even. Last thing I heard a while ago was that AFCAD2 was going to be linked up with Rwy12 to make a (almost) ScenGenX equivalent. Anyone heard any more?

I thought I'd gone mad there..... Thanks for clearing that up Roller.
Reap - SceneGenX generates the taxiways using the exact same method as AFCAD2

I don't know - whatever happens though we have enough tools to do the job so any more is just a bonus - the new tools are allowing us to create scenery more easily and better than ever before. I quite like using the small different simple tools for each job - they just do their job in a simple way & well. If Lee just adds taxiway signs to AFCAD2 i'll be a very happy bunny...
