I have created a scenery object (West Edmonton Mall) to use in FS2002, have the coordinates set and everything else ready to go...except...the default terrain features some trees and buildings in the area.  These items don't look too smart in the parking lot of the mall.  Would like to know if there is something available that can be used to remove detail from default terrain in selected areas, even if it is payware.  Thanks -

Brian,

You need to put in an "exclude" area that covers where the new scenery will sit.  Many scenery design programs have this feature.  It gets rid of the autogen stuff within it's boundaries.

Don't forget to put the "Golden Shovel" in a display case somewhere.   Wink

Best thing to do would be to go ahead and put the object in the sim, then slew from the corners (assuming you made it a square) and get the lat, lon readings then make the exclude object the exact size. The other option would be to make scenery for the whole area that was correct and exclude it all.
