Flight_Sim,
Sorry you are having some problems.
It would be
very helpful to folks who can troubleshoot this problem possibility if you gave a LOT more details about the EXACT type of problem you are having.... ie: what item you were trying to download, what time of day, if you use Netscape or IE or Firefox or ???, are you on dial up or cable or dsl or what, and so on.
"Page Cannot be Displayed" is a message that is often displayed when the traffic routing to get to a particular web site is congested or broken
in some location other than at the SimV server. I sometimes get that exact same message logging into MSN.com on my DSL connection. It happens. Needless to say.... Microsoft's server is a tad more sophisticated and "Financially supported" than the SimV one is....... and even they have access issues at times due to traffic.
The connection between you machine and the SimV server can involve multiple connections thru an amazing network of machines and data lines. Sometimes those links are busy. For what is mainly a free downloads server..... (that costs Pete a fortune in time and money to keep running) SimV is "up" pretty darn consistently.
And what is it with the "Fix it already" bit? You attract more flies with honey than vinegar.
best,
...............john
