Correct!
it is a HL-1 from 1958
it have never flown, and it will be replaced soon by a Avro 540k from 1917 because that was the first type,  that flown from avedore
and this was the last guess a plane (for now)
it will start again, when i have found new interesting planes to guess
Cheers Theis

Good one, theis- question: is that plane going to be flown after it comes off the pole, or what? Just thought it was odd that it had a canopy cover on it like that.

Would that be a typo on the Avro 504K ?.....its a very famous early trainer, and I wondered about that when I saw the reference in Danish on that linked page ?

Where exactly is this pole situated? I would hardly think a 504K was suitable for sticking on top of a pole unless it was inside. Or maybe I misunderstood. ???

That runway looks like part of a racetrack.

I found a photo of this Avro 540K among several other references. http://owen2.otago.ac.nz/Owen/XuAir2004/More2004.html
I know I get easily confused these days but I think it's a typo. Never heard of a 540K before.  Looks very much like a 504K to me.
Whatever it is I'm not sure it's at all suitable for sticking on that pole.

I'm with Charlie on this.  I googled "Avro 540" and in the several instances, the term Avro 540 is mixed in with references to " Avro 504" .  I tend to think it's a proliferation of typos.

I do not put out, however, that the "540"  may have been a later development of the 504, but even the radial engined version of 1925 was still a 504N.

There would have been a "540", as there was a 531/538 (Spider) and 555 (Bison), but *I* haven't found a convincing reference to it.
