I am wondering if somewhere on the net videos are available of the "highlights" of a real commercial airliner flight from the pilot's point of view, from clearance to arrival. I'd like to compare my sim experience with a real flight as far as procedures are concerned.
I have a fast connection, so big files or long streaming are not a problem.

Nice link that, some videos are quite realistic but what I'm really looking for is videos from a real flight cabin, not a simmed one.
Thanks anyway

I have over 100 great videos, and these are jump seat videos that are fairly large in size. But if you got the bandwidth, here are 2 of my later acquisitions

Wow that Embraer 145 video is top notch! Very impressive, that flight crew is very professional, would be a honour to fly with them.
Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.

If you have any more links, feel free to post them!
I don't think the mods will regard them as spam, or will they?
As long as they are free legitimate videos...

Haha, that crew is very funny at least for me who understands the language.
The captain and jumpseater are talking about how cool New Zealand is etc.
But yeah, they are professional and extremely laid back

Ya at first I thought it was English, but then I noticed it wasn't and felt like an idiot for turning the volume up to try and understand it.
Ya they are just serious enough (and might I add they speak very good English) and just laid back enough to make the perfect balance of a good pilot.
Too serious and you get bored and tired of flying with them. Not serious enough and you risk bad decisions and poor flying skills.
Too laid back and you risk the same things, bad decisions, poor flying, dangerous situations.
Not laid back enough, and well the trip can just suck.

I hear you
Another funny thing is the landing roll-out where the F/O wants to vacate early, and the captain interupts and says "nono, they'll go nuts if you do that, just continue rolling"

hah, sounds like any of the major airports in the US.
Here you get the assigned turnoffs though, nothing like almost blowing past your assigned taxiway.

Ya...but not everyone enjoys the A-340. Most people I know just think it's an underpowered attempt at a 707. But either way. I would like to see some from the smaller regional turbo props. Those flights are quick and complicated usually. Would be cool to see.

to kind of resurrect this thread, there's a huge range of aviation videos at google videos video.google.com
try a variety of search terms, takeoff, landing, etc, also airplane types work well. The Finnair MD-11 flight and missed approach is on there too.
