Alright, so it's been a while since I've visited SimV. First off, I must congradulate Bob on his fine work, and the rest of you who I've seen come a long way since I was last here Wink. My reason of absence - A horrible graphics card which wouldn't allow me to take close-to-good shots Undecided. But that's all fixed now with my new "All-In-Wonder 8500 Pro" by ATI  Grin. It has its own cooling-fan and it draws its own power! Shocked Ok, now to business...

Because of the semi-recent tsunamis, out of curiousity, I decided to see what the Phuket Intl. looked like in FS2004.

I know it's kinda pixelated, but really only thanks to the bandwith limit. Sadly, I still don't know how to lower the image size without affecting the quality of the image. (Help?) Embarrassed

Hope you all like Smiley:...

Thanks,

Brian Wink

By the way: I think I'm losing my touch... Constructive critisism and comments welcome, and any useful tips are greatly welcomed. Thanks.

Thanks.

Is there a way to kick the anti-aliasing up a notch in Flight Simulator 2004? I know there's the option to have it on/off (mine's currently ON).

I couldn't do it through the sim, had to go to my cards settings and manually kick it up.

I uncheck the Anti-Aliasing in FS2004 and do it through the card. I use 4xAnti-Aliasing and 4xAnistropic Filtering. Nice shot Brian! Smiley

I use irfanview to take my caps, but for resizing I like to use a program called The GIMP (Graphic Image Manipulation Program). You can download a free version off their site. I haven't done a serious side-by-side comparison, but it just looks better to me. There are a host of fine-tuning options for resizing that I haven't even messed with yet.Resizing and file type conversion are very simple with The GIMP, and it has tons of other great editing tools.

Main problem I see with your otherwise nice F16 is jaggies- as others have pointed out, it's an antialiasing thing.

From what I gathered (and already knew) was the anti-aliasing. How exactly (I'm no expert in this area) would I manually kick up the anti-aliasing threw the card itself?
