Too scared to ruin it with a spring job.
The position of the stick is on a platform low elbow hieght as my working days in A320, but on the right side, with the throttle left on the desk, pending another platform for it.

I could show it but how do you post a foto here, help says nothing about it. URL to my HD ??

Also is "notify of replies" disabled now? It was helpful.

Ulindel, click on the 'upload images' way at the top of the page.

Have had my X45 since Xmas, great joy.

The only complaint i had was I found it difficult to use the 'Rudder' especially flying choppers, being it is mounted on the throttle. Also tried using Rotory 2 for rudder, better but still problematic.

It seemed like pedals were the only answer, but a bit pricey. So with a little recycling, some duct tape (love that Red Green), and about 20 minutes work, here's the result.

Am now a happy flyer

Oh my God !!,
what a lovely and tidy setup. Puts me to shame. How genius idea for pedals. 10 out of 10. Wish did not return my twist grip one.

I tried the upload but the picture never appeard. How to put it below the text now?

Put your boots back on in case of a wood splinter, and the sigies are not a good idea in the cockpit.

Dont need the twist. On that Wingman the twist is haywire. I have the Rudder assigned to the Elevator (Y).
So shud be able to use any spare usb joy as long as it has a good X or Y.

Did you follow the inst. on the second page? ....copy the sample URL and then paste it in between the tags, changing 'yourpic' to your file name....

Cigs arent good anywhere, but as you can see, my fire suppression system is close at hand just in case.

I used the "upload images" and God knows where it ended up?. I can not find a second page in there.

I noticed the "URL" of "insert image" icon top of this post reply, replaced it with my HD source of my image but it looks odd & unconnected, so Let's see if this works.
If it shows, forgive the bad output of my £5 matchbox digidal Camera / WebCam / 10second Video camera

Good, then I will use my ancient stick and try X - Y.

I thought that was a cup of tea.

Here it goes......

Ok what you need to do is click on the upload images tag at the top of the page, it in the small blue bar 3rd from the right. When you do select the image you want to upload and then click the upload button, at the bottom of the page. It will then tell you when it has uploaded. It will also give you a link. http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/
that is it, after the / put in the file name of the picture you uploaded. and then copy that link and paste it into your image tags.

Dave, just noticed you saying "USB" stick.

Tried my old "QuickShot" paralel or serial one, but fs9 will not assign the Y - X (Num 0 or Enter) Rudder Yaw L/R to any stick or button movements of it.

Only assigns to X-45. Must they both be USB ?.

Yet both sticks and buttons do control the aft on same flight.

How did you assign those pedals?

Have never tried but they say you cant mix usb and serial/gameport, in XP anyway.

Heres how I did it.

With both joys hooked up open Control/Assignments/Buttons-Keys tab. Select the joy your usin for rudder, and delete any assignments there may be for it. With the same joy selected on Joystick Axis tab, delete any assignment and make the assignment for the rudder axis.

Well, the foto did work but hope your not on my GMT & nobody saw my awfull set up.
I removed the foto now as my wife said the cia may send me to Cuba for it looks like another wire-up for a threat scare to blow the net.

Craig, I used the "URL" of "insert image" icon (4th from left) top of this post reply, replaced it with the full path of the image in my HD, and the foto showed under my text.

Cheers Dave, here in XP both my sticks, USB & Serial/Parallel, work in harmony with no conflict, and your advise worked although took time for the
"Joystick Axis" penny to drop.

Looking for a twig in the garden now to strap it on, red & blue.

The rudder makeshift works fine and the Robinson22 helicopter flying is not a hit and miss strugle any more.

A small contribution to your rudder patern; Set the rudder stick on a 45degrs wedge, mine cut out of a 9ich diameter tree trank, slopes the stick at a more comfortable down angle to your feet.

Unfortunately I am only the "handy" type.
