LOL Grizzly. If you spend all your time in the cockpit I don't suppose the visual model makes much difference. I'm sure a flyable virtual cockpit would suit you fine.
Depends what you're after. I rarely use the defaults in my numerous M$ sims. They make nice targets in CFS & frame-rate friendly AI traffic in FS. That's about the only use I have for them.
Leaving the rotten flight dynamics of a typical AI drone to one side for a moment check this out. First the unanimated CFS1 default Mossie.

It was originally intended for use in 3rd party missions. I'm sure he improved on it later but this is the only one I have installed right now.
