Finally released, here are the shots from the first flight test flight!

The manuals for this bird are not available yet, they will be released tomorrow...I managed to get the aircraft frompoint A to B, but it would be nice with some more in depth explanation of the procedures  Smiley

Awsome shots Nexus.

But I have a question. Th MD-80 is a jetplane, right? Than how come that until today I've never seen moving fans on the engines? The SGA-model doesn't have em and now this payware-version doesn't either. Do I miss something? Is there a fixed grid with spokes in the inlet? I've searched for clear shots of the (working) engines on airliners.net but I couldn't come to a conclusion.

Thanks in advance...   Wink

The fans move allright, it's just that what you see is actually the IGVs; Inlet Guide Vanes (or something like that)

Their purpose is simply to direct the airflow so it hits the fan at the most efficient angle, also they form a kind of structural support for the forward part of the compressor stage...but to describe that more detailed is beyond my knowledge
There are other engines which have these IGVs, but they are located after the N1 stage, hence you can't seee them  Smiley

Here's a great pic of the IGV's
