Vandy 1/VX-4 - Alphasim Phantom (Read 728 times)

Based on the new Alphasim F-4 Phantom II I started what will be my first official repaint which I will have available when done.

...

Anyone have any information on Vandy 1 and VX-4 would be helpfull. I need to know the air crew names to put on the sides of the canopies; the gray walkway strip over the air intake areas; etc.

I have some more tweaking to do including lining up a paint stripe across three locations.

Cheers,

Gus

very nice shots man! cool paint!

Are these real paint schemes? I'm aware of a SR-71 painted with a bunny on his tail, but never saw a F-4 with it?  Wink

Thanks guys.

Yeah, Bones, there was an actual paint scheme like that which was part of VX-4 at the time. There was also an F-14 with a "bunny tail" for a time. Do a search in google looking for Vandy, VX-4, Phantom, etc. This one is Vandy-1 which also flew in some airshows.

...
Still tweaking.

Later,

Gus

Thanks Ramsa, thanks Bob.

Bob, I see you're starting to repaint too now -- damn, it can be tedious at times.

Thanks CVK.

OK, I uploaded the repaint to AVSIM and it's at:

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=60887&CatID=fs2004acrp

Need the Alphasim model of course.

Just started another one yesterday of the Jolly Rogers. It's supposed to be an F-4N but the F-4B is close enough.

Gus
