I have installed Winding Man's scenery, and i have noticed several things.  There seems to be a ring around my aircraft in the ground textures.  Everything looks great inside, but everything outside is blurry and distorted.  Trees don't seem to be generated until i am about a half mile from them, then they suddenly appear out of mid-air.  Also, as the ring advances the textures suddenly become brighter and more detailed, and there seems to be blocks in the textures around me.  I have a very high-end computer, so i seriously doubt it's that.  I have all the sliders at 5.

Edit:  I don't think it's WM's scenery that's casuing problems.  I unistalled it and there's still hideously blurry boxes around the ring, which is still there too.
