My friends '92 camero cuts out at 120mph(don't ask)

My '96 Camaro cuts out at 120mph as well.  It has a speed limit in the computer.

With all that power it goes only 149Mph (238Km/h). Or it is electronically limited to that speed? Usually they put a brake at 250Km/h 156Mph.

one would guess,

or the gearing ratio could be the answer (tuned to be fastest on the low end of things)

That would be my guess.  At least, thats what I would want.  I couldn't care less about being able to go 150mph-all I want to do is go from 0-100mph in a heartbeat.   Wink

I can't deny that the new Mustang looks sharp, but my heart has already been taken away by the Nissan 350Z, which is overall the better car and costs just about the same.

The Nissan is the better choice for Europeans anyway, its designed with the sort of roads we have here, in mind.

anyone see the new convertable?  looks cool, but I think they will have to do some trimming on the rear section to make it look better without a top (after that sentece, you might think I was refering to a girl)

not over here, the Z is quite a bit more (about $10,000 more!) plus it has less hp.

But it stays on the road and doesn't drive straight on. Wink
Furthermore, less hp doesn't mean less fun. Rather less fuel consumption and less emissions.

no they get about the same mpg the stang gets 20 average and the z gets 22

and a .85 g skid pad is not horrible, could deffinetly stay on the road, and the z gets .91

granted the z is better in both, but in power the stang has 13 more than the "track z" and the stang has 41 lb-ft more over the z

i have driven both a "track" z (which is a blast to drive), and a convertable z (which is fun to look at). the convertable is very flimsy and compaired to the coupe. it looses a lot of chasis rigidity when the top is taken off.

If the GT pony has 350hp, then the SVT will rival the Vette.

Speaking of racing, I just got home from band and on the way I raced one of my friends in his bronco.  I was driving the family pony-3.8L V-6 convertable-and won!
