..or so you might think. Apologies for the photo quality - I snatched it through a window while I was on a bus at Heathrow yesterday. This is the last Concorde that BA don't know what to do with. There are Concordes now in Bristol, Manchester, New York, Seattle - and this one still at Heathrow, sitting on the tarmac outside the BA hangars.

...

The bus driver told me that the one in Bristol has only had iit shydraulic fluid removed, and there's a movement headed by drummer Phil Collins to get it flying again for special occasions.

Anybody know any more?

Heathrows concorde is being put into the new terminal i believe, or shall be the gate guard for the new terminal. Dont expect to see any flying. More has been removed from the Filton concorde than you were told.

Nice pic though:)

Yes, that Concorde is slated for Terminal 5 which is currently under construction.  Every time I fly into Heathrow I just stare and marvel as it sits there.

There is a really good thread on this board with information as to where every Concorde came from, is going and has gone.

I even have Concorde parked there in FS9. Smiley

But for the sake of nostalgia, I have another Concorde flying from Heathrow to NYC.

Thanks for the clarification, guys. They reckon on another couple of years for Terminal 5's completion: looking pretty impressive so far.

Yeh, I have an AI Concorde doing the BA001 route to JFK also!

Maybe the Phil Collins' involvement is due to the fact that this musician was once famously associated to that aircraft when he managed to play both sides (London and Philadelphia) of the "Live Aid" mega concert in summer 1985 flying from Heathrow with a Concorde. His travel was filmed and broadcasted during the concert. At the time it was a sensation.
