Either find a suitable floatplane only base, or press y to get into slew mode and then use the jostick to maneouver the plane over some water and press y again to go to normal flying mode Wink

There's a full list of default water runways in FS2002 Help. Must be well over 100 of them. Go to the Help index & type in water runway.

Perhaps, you want to save the situation after you get the thing in the water, so you don't always start off on a runway??

Not a bad idea but why not start off on the water in the first place & save all that messing around with slewing? Plenty to choose from. Look at this lot.

Of course, it depends where you want to operate from. Most of the defaults seem to be in the US.

Look up Vancouver Harbour in Scenery add-ons. That will give you the downtown harbour float-plane base plus the Horseshoe Bay base if you want to explore the Pacific north-west coast plus Alaska. Cheers!
