Kick SP2 off and don't bother about those kinds of problems again.  Wink

Seems like a lot of people have problems when they try to upgrade to SP2, my computer came with it already in place and I haven't had any problems at all.
I did try to upgrade another PC to SP2 and ended up restoring back to before the download. Weird!

yep, best way to install the service pack is to do a full format, then let windows update install their updates in the specified order....

Either that or order sp2 on cd.. Smiley

Yes the_autopilot, It did change from Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP. Should I try again or get another PC? Or is it virtually worthless because I have heard about some "flaws" in it.

Thanks for the help.

No No No. The fact thats its missing the edition title is on purpose. Microsoft purposely removed it.
