HI IM CURRENTLY LISTENING TO O'HARE ATC, BUT IM WONDERING IS IT LEGAL TO LISTEN TO THIS OVER THE INTERNET AT ALL?

Yes its legal. However some countries have radio rules that restrict it.

hey sheff, again, im in your neighborhood. O'Hare has no restrictions on LISTENING to the ATC, they wouldn't know. it's just illegal to talk on ATC.
for those who dont understand, who will know and how are they going to know who you are. your not broadcasting a signal of any type...
hey Sheff, also listen into Palwaukee @ Twr:119.9 gnd:121.7, they get a good amount of acft (not to mention under my logo

Hmm, I was responding to jrs post which I thought meant that it was illegal to listen to ATC in the US, and now that I look back on it I guess he was actually saying that "it's not illegal to listen to ATC in the US"

AFAIK it's forbidden in belgium... leaving you to guess what interesting stuff is going to come out of the clouds at Ostend

How the devil do they enforce that law- ban the sale of receivers capable of picking up those frequencies? ???
