Coming into some money next month and decided to put together my dream pc. Tell me what you think:

Mobo: ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe nForce4
CPU: AMD Athalon 64 FX-53
HDD: 2 74gb WD Raptors in RAID0 config
Memory: 2 sticks of 1gb Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR400
Video card: Twin Ledtek GeForce 6600GT SLI pci-express cards
Monitor: NEC/Mitsubishi FE2111SB-BK 22" CRT
Not sure on the power supply yet

That's what I'm buying. Here's what I already have:

Case: Antec 1080 mid server tower
Sound Card: Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS
Speakers: Logitech Z640 5.1
Joystick: Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar and CH Pro Pedals

Excessive? Maybe. Kickass? I think so. Give me your inputs. Anything I could add, take away, etc?

FOr HD's, I would use a 0+1 RAID.

As for PSU, I suggest a ATX2 480 W mininmum PSU.
I have the one below and love it:

Otherwise your system specs are fine.

Personally though, I would through it in the extra cash and do a dual 6800 GT SLI. Its worth money and then some, IMHO.

Dual 6800's? I said I'm coming into some money, not a fortune!! ha ha. Just priced the 6800 SLI cards and wow. I don't know if I'm willing to throw a grand just into my video cards. Who know. I might do it. And cable guy, I had pepsi come out of my nose when I saw your freaky green llama thing. What is that anyway?

One more thing. I noticed the 6800's are only dual DVI outputs. Do the newer CRT's support this, or are they the old style connectors still?

Yeah, the vid cards come with a dvi to analog converter. As for native DVI support, there is none for crt's.

DVI always has analog outputs if the factory connects all the pins. the cross-shaped esction of the connector is the analog part

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here
