Hi Guys!

I am posting here because I need to tap into the expertise and experience that I always see around here.

I have been running FS2002 in tandem with FSNavigator 4.6 ever since I bought FS2002- a year or so ago.

I run it on a Pentium III 650MHz, 128RAM, 32VRAM Nvidia GeForce 2 MX on a Windows Me Platform.

Never had any problems with the FS2002/FSNav4.6 combo. In fact, I can't imagine running FS2002 without FSNav.

Anyway, I am currently playing around with a new computer that I am still deciding whether to buy or return- I got it at CompUSA and looking at a 15% restocking fee if I return it.

Its a HP a810n, Windows XP platform. Spec'd out as:

-3300+ AMD Athlon 64 (2.4 GHz, 256KB L2 Cache, 1600MHz System bus
-512MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM memory
-160 GB hard drive
-DVD/CD RW
-CD Rom drive

It came off the shelf with Integrated SIS Mirage2 Graphics with 128MB shared video memory.

I upgraded this (I hope it was an upgrade!) to a ASYLUM 128MB AGP video card using GeForceMX 4000 chip set.

Downloaded and installed the very latest NVidia drivers for the card.

I am having some problems when I run and manuever around in FSNav- problems such as crashing to reboot and freeze ups. It doesn't always happen- and it seems that it may be related to how long I stay in the FSNav planning window. But I wouldn't swear to this.

FS2002 runs great- as long as I don't open up FSNav! Never had this problem before. I like a challenge as much as the next guy- but not sure that I want to spend too much time on this one-

Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced such problems and if so, what the solution might be?

Thanks!

Chers,
Chris

Hi Chris....!
I have used FS Nav since it was first released for FS 2000/FS 2002 and FS 2004.
I occasionally have to re-install it whenever I format or replace my hard drive.
So maybe a fresh download and re-install, together with your key insert, may cure the problem...?

Give that a try... Wink...!

Cheers...!

Paul.

P.S. It is interesting to note that those very helpful yellow fuel pump markings are not included in the FS 2004 version...so enjoy the FS Nav, FS 2002 version... Wink...!

Hiya Paul,

Yep I tried redownloading, reinstalling and a reregistering the key. Nothing helped. Whatever the problem was it was a computer problem.

Note that I said was.

I took it back today and returned it. Didn't have to do the restocking fee either! Grin

Cheers & thanks anyway,
Chris
