Ok ... I was going to post some pics of a recent trip to Vegas, from Atlanta's Hartsfield to McCarran Int'l. For some reason, only this particular picture of mine is showing up. I've tried uploading others ... with different names, but none of them shows up when I preview! Wierd .... anyway .... enjoy!
A busy day at Hartsfield!
The others do this ...
I've checked the spelling, and even tried to upload different filenames ... to no avail.

Here's your missing image. The file name is atl2las1.JPG
NOT
atl2las1.jpg
File names are case-sensitive including the .jpg or .JPG file extension. Some image editors save file extensions in upper-case for some reason. Check the exact file names of the images you uploaded.

I forgot to mention that they are nice shots considering that I imagine they were taken through an aircraft passenger window.
Please note that the first image you posted was 156k, well over the forum limit. I ran it through IrfanView at 95% compression & reuploaded it to stop it being deleted. It's now just 57.8k. I don't think anyone will see the difference.

Hagar ... thanks
so much!
I didn't think about the file extensions. And after looking at the files again, I realized (a little too late) that the traffic image was over 100k. Apologies ... you know, everyone on here extolls the virtues of irfanview. Time to check it out!
The others (which are coming up in a second) are all below 100k (cross my heart!). [And this is just another example of just what a friendly neighborhood these forums make!
]
Glad y'all liked the others ... the aircraft we flew was the "Spirit of Delta," which, a flight attendant informed us, was "purchased with the help of Delta employees." And yes, these were taken through a window -- I was quite surprised at the quality as well! Ben: I took these last Sunday, Jan 2 on a trip out toVegas with some buddies.
As I said -- a few more coming up.

Yah -- I loved the curve too. I don't think one feels that while hurtling down on the take-off roll.
Delta? A hub? In Atlanta? Surely you jest ...

Doesn't EVERYBODY have a hub in Atlanta? It's gotten so you can't fly from NYC to Boston w/o a stop in Atlanta...

Very good Craig. I must save that.
Strangely enough I've managed several visits to various parts of the US without passing through Atlanta once.
Maybe I should submit an application to the Guinness Book of Records for this amazing achievement.

Ive never been there either, but Ive noticed a similer situation in chicago, at the boring airport whos name escapes me, and in indianapolis. If you are going to chicago, you must first stop at KIND, no matter wich direction you come from. On the other hand, if you are going to KIND you must stop in chicago... Ive flown between KMCI (Kansas City) and KIND several times, and we always have to stop in Chicago.

Amen to that!
And CragL -- that was a HILARIOUS link. I end up through Hartsfield quite often, since I end up flying with Delta despite their abysmal legroom (it's called ** cheap ** ). Does anyone remember when Hartsfield's notorious inter-terminal trains had that eerie, evil, B-grade science-fiction, monotonous, metallic robotic voice saying "please step back. doors are about to close and will NOT bounce back." Always gave me the chills. And visions of people disected by doors that don't bounce back.
Rottydaddy: thanks for the compliments. I got lucky this time!

Oh PS:
Another common Hartsfield phenomenon -- missed approaches! They pack those aircraft close there!

Hahaha, the article made a reference to headcrabs, which a few of you may realize as the nasty little parasites in my favorite 2 FPSs of all time-Half-life and Half-life 2. Funny article
