I downloaded the b747 blank textures by Rob Smith. When I try to open them it tells me that *filename* cannot be opened because of a disk error. However I have repainted POSKY's and Aerodesign's aircraft before. I tried to open the textures of the default aircraft and it gives me the same message. I think I need to download a certain programme.. but I can't remember which one...

If it helps I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Wink

Thanks  Smiley

Hi
I use Photoshop 7.0 and your problem is filetypes. Photoshop doesn't recognise them, you need DXTBmp
availablehere
then within DXTBmp use 'Load extended image' and navigate to the file. Then hit image/send to editor and t will open in photoshop. Grin
Then edit it and save it as a targa file, then in DXTBmp load your edited file back in with 'Load targa with Alpha'
then 'save extended image' and you can then view it in FS9

Hope that helps

Thank you very much! I already had DXTbmp but wasn't too sure what it was used for!  Wink
