Hi stiz.

Let me ask, are the Euro textures you described in an earlier post part of these two downloads or seperate?

Am going to check these out. Thanks for the work!

Stiz great work. Thats the best CFS2 scenery improvement ever . I recommend it all members to try it  out. My only complain its the water texture. When one is flying over the open Ocean it looks like you are flying over a blue rug.
If you could fix that it would make this the ultimate scenery improvement for CFS2 ever. In my opinion it makes the scenery of CFS2 better than Pacific Fighter. I know I own both of them. They both are great games.
Over all I am very happy your project. Thank you

Coupla questions... screenies look cool; what about frame rate? I've a 1.5GHZ processor, 64MB video card and 256MB of RAM... FS2004 works fine, but what's combat like? Are all the FS2004 cities there? Airports located in the same place?

No Jive, FS2k4 cities are not in this one. CFS2 centers around the WWII Pacific Theater bases. BUT.....there is so much stuff to download for this game.

If you can run FS9 (FS2k4) then you will have no problem running CFS2. Your problem will be in trying to find a copy.

Good luck.

I too did not care for the water. Not to complain, your work is greatly appreciated stiz and the land textures are a great improvement.

I did however put the water textures I like back in there. They are more of a Pacific look. Most originally come from the Pac Tex file., but there is one or two of yours in there too. lol

Take a look.

Great job pal, CFS2 looks even better than ever and I have not noticed any frame rate drop at all. Almost good enough to win the January screen shot contest Wink

I have good news. The only thing that I was not satisfy with the new 2004 Texure was the look of the ocean. To it look to me like you were flying over a huge Blue rug. I have good new news. The water texure of Pactex dose work with the new install. I looks great. Even better than Pacific Fighter. Check it out.I want to give my thank to Stiz and the developers of the Pactex project. Enjoy James007

The city at Lae doesn't bother me. I actually like the look.

Thx for the work stiz, along with your effort and the PacTex water, I now have an even much better looking game in my opinion. Kudos to you bud!!

Thanks for the really fine work, Stiz! I'm like some others, though, and not that crazy about the water texture. I don't have that much computer savvy yet. I installed your textures over Pactex 1 through 5 with no mishap. Now how do I run your stuff with Pactex water and not screw up my machine. Should I have uninstalled the previous install of Pactex first?

Appreciations in advance!

To use my stuff with the Pactex water you'll need to unzip Pactex 4 and just select the water texture of your choice and just drag the files into the same folder as my textures.

HAve fun, any questions just ask.

Got your reply before I went offline! Thanks, buddy. I believe in the old axiom "the only dumb questions are the ones unasked". Civility thrives on this forum.

I really appreciate your effort. It seems it will make a pretty good addition. This should make your Total World texure project complete.
Sitz you think you can improve the resolution of the Cities in CFS2. I really like what you have done so far. You have extended the life of CFS2. Now I connot give CFS2 up. Thank you

One more dumb question---are these textures better than FS2002 and would they replace the original in FS2002??

2nd question----about a year ago, someone posted his method of adding the cities in FS2002 to CFS2. I lost that info. Now, I am wondering if FS2004 cities would drop in just as easily--or not??  Sometimes, it is nice to fly between buildings during low level combat. [Yes, we did that in Korea].

Yes they are better than the FS2002 textures and no they wont replace the original FS2002 textures because they are for CFS2  Wink

If you mean having the autogen from FS2004 into CFS2 then it is not possible Sad
