It was only repaired to static display standard as it was going to be retired anyway. Unfortunately it crashed during its last display season, just before I got to see it fly. It was quite badly damaged so I doubt it will ever fly again.

Just a question... boy, I am going to regret this... Is that 109 the real deal? I mean: is it a real plane or a replica? Cause the pictures remind me of an overgrown model, the colours make it look a bit like plastic...

It is the real deal and the Spit looks like a plastic model,too. Must be the paint...
