What will a video card with 256Mb of memory do for the graphics in FS2002?  What does more video memory improve in FS2002?
Thanks

A good rule of thumb is the more memory you have the faster things will process. But you have to rember that every thing is controlled by the CPU so if you have a slow cpu more is not always going to be better. I think of it this way your cpu can only process info so fast granted having more system ram will free up the cpu of some tasks but if you go over board the ram will have to wait on the cpu to free up before it can do any thing with the info it has. Video cards are the same way the more ram they have will free up the cpu to do other things but it can also stand in line as well. So you have to decide if your system only has say cpu operating at less than 600 megs more ram will only help a little due to the slow operating speed of the cpu. But the opposite is true if your cpu is 1 gig or above than by all means the more ram the better off you are both system and video ram will increase throughput. Which spells out awesome graphics and good frame rates. 8)
