One of my most favorite planes to fly is the Falcon 900B V3  and the panel is fantastic , but I seem to get constant porpoising ( 20 - 80 ft. ) with the autopilot engaged and an altitude selected .

Just wonder if anybody else has had the same experience and wonder if there is a fix ?   I do not have that problem with the  default 737 400 .
FS2002 --  Windows XP .

Thanks ,

Jamie

Check to see if it comes with a yaw damper and turn it on. 8)

Hi Garymbuska ,

I do not find a yaw damper . I just now flew at 3,200 ft. and 250 knots and was pretty stable .  Perhaps speed has an affect ??    Nobody else has commented on having the same problem so may just  me or my PC ???

Thanks ,

Jamie

I have a similar problem, namely when the autopilot is engaged the aircraft will sometimes oscillate in pitch mode only.  This only seems to affect one aircraft - a jet fighter (using borrowed F-18 airfile) - and only when flying at "mil" throttle at relatively high altitude.  Thought it may have something to do with performance in thin air at less than max thrust, but jetliners perform well at the same height - will check out how my dampers are set up as per above - thanx.

Hi ,

I placed this Post and am in the midst of flying the Falcon 900 Vinair on an IFR flight from Amarillo , Texas to FT. Worth Meacham with Real World Weather .  I set my cruising altitude at 22,000 ft. and the Autopilot has held it exactly with no oscillations whatsoever .

Must be my PC causing oscillations occasionally ?? !!!

If any of you have not flown this plane and this fantastic panel , you are missing a treat .  This is my favorite panel and you can actually see over it for landing .  Easy to set radios , great autopilot , and is large enough to read altimeter barometric pressure settings , etc .  Has everything you would want and has the GPS Icon and switch placed together as they should be .  Just superb in my opinion .

If only it had the gorgeous virtual cabin of the Falcon 50 !!!!
