I just bought a new set of speakers for my PC, a 2.1 set.... T3000 creative..... I noticed on my old speakers (HP Defualts) a little fuzz in the sound.... never really cared cause it didnt bother me... So I hook new speakers up with sub woofer (Speakers have bass and tweeter) and I get really really Annoying fuzz.... any help on this? I think its probably the built in sound card but I am not for certain, please, any advice is worth it.... and heres a tip NEVER buy an HP, Cheers, gunny

also, I have sound quality in FS maxed, I have no problems with any of my other 4 games so far tested on sound and music is as crisp as can be.... this is an annoying error, if I counted all that I have had with this pc it would be well over 2500 I bet, Cheers, Gunny

Hmmm thats odd.  I used to get problems with the sound breaking up but that was just me having to higher settings, and now I got that sorted.  Could it be the plug on the mobo? strange thing is your other games are ok.

I got onboard sound too but have never had any probs as of yet anyway.  I just noticed in your spec too you have an XP3200 cpu.  I thought the FSB of this CPU is 200(400 total) so why have you got PC2700 ram in there? thats only 166(333 total)  Seems a little odd and I woulda taken the PC back and argued the ram wasn't right for the cpu.

Gunny04, I've experienced the same exact problem before, and here's the solution:

1.  Click Start
2.  Click Run
3.  Type in dxdiag
4.  Click OK
5.  Click on the Sound tab
6.  Where it says DirectX Features, look for the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level.
7.  Move this slider all the way to the left, until it says No Acceleration.
8.  Test FS9
9.  If the fuzzy noise has stopped, then you can go back to dxdiag and move the sound slider to the right - until you find the highest level you can reach without producing the fuzzy sound.
