Here are some photos from a recent trip I took, going from 42A to Hot Springs, back to 42A, and then to Gulf Shores, AL. Pics can be found here: http://client.webshots.com/album/237672558SqMfyH

The story about the red light and the emergency gear handle:

You might have noticed on the weather channel that there was some ice and snow recently in the southern part of the country. Well, when it was time to leave Hot Springs, the plane was covered in ice, which we carefully removed with a water hose. It was still below freezing, so a small amount of this water froze back in non-critical areas (side windows mainly). It also froze on some of the hydraulics and gear indicator switches, resulting in a red light following gear retraction. Also, during flight more water froze in the gear area, so when the handle was put down not much happened. However, it came unstuck within a second or two.

There are also some pics of a brand new C182.

...&&It is better to remain silent and be considered a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.&&&&There were once four people named Everybody, Somebody, Nobody and Anybody. Somebody had to do a job, but Nobody wanted to do it. Nobody could see that Anybody could do it, and Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Nobody ended up doing it, and it so happened that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
