Thanks all! Grin

It's a great Hornet to fly in FS2004. The only minus is the sound which is defaulted to the Lear. But, that wasn't a problem since I download a good (free) Hornet sound from Sky Song. Comes in with two models (MD and Boeing), single seat and tandem, and 8 paints each. The panel is pretty good too.

I got a hint of its impending release by coming across another message board with pre-release pics that looked great. He's coming out with  another release which will inlcude USN, Marine, and Canadian versions with armament loads.

Yes, the above URL would be correct for Aerialfoundry. Aerialfoundry.ca works as well.

Cheers,

Gus

Sweet shots and plane!

So overall you like it? Also, were you able to download it and pay with a credit card or did you do the mail order? I am probably going to buy it and I have been checking if the internet download is up yet. I may have to get the mail order if they dont actually enable that. .

He still doesn't have the full blown credit card set-up and is using Pay Pal. I used that for the first time and it worked well and he sent me the link and registration code via e-mail well within the 24 hour time frame.

That would be an affirmative, I like it.  Grin

Later,

Gus

Well I'll be a fool...

I thought the PayPal thing was just a quicker method of mail order/delivery...didn't realize it was for download.  If I knew that, I'd have had this thing for weeks!!  I've been checking daily patiently awaiting the credit card/download method.

Haha. So yeah now I finally have this aircraft and I LOVE IT.

Gus, could you post the file name of those hornet sounds?  Also, maybe a link to where they can be found?  Thanks.

Silver 1,

The Hornet sound zip can be found it at:

http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=f-18&CatID=fs2002snds

Zipfile f18snz.zip by Skysong.

It works with FS2004 as well.
