can someone tell why the import option in gmax is greyed out and how to rectify this?

Maybe you don't have anything to import? Don't know anything about g-max Roll Eyes

mantab. You might have more luck in the Aircraft Design forum. I think it's quite likely you need to install the FS2002 Pro Gamepack.
