salutations one and all,

i was wondering, what is it like to play CFS3 on the zone?? I played CFS1 on it for a while and that was very fun, even on my 56k modem it did not lag many times.

Is it the same with CFS3, ie. could i play with my 56k modem without trouble.

I dont see it on the zone- where can i play it?

is their bomber missions?? I can imagine it would be so fun, you are in a Ju88, with like 4 or 5 other bomber guys flying in formation with you, and you have a target, the allies have 2 fighters, and have to try and shoot you down before you bomb the target!!!

Is that type of game mode possible/available??

If you are in a bomber, can other human players man your gunner stations to fight off the fighters???

kalashnikov01:

I see no one has replied, so I thought I'd share some options for you to consider.

There is an online war that has exactly what you're looking for (although we don't have the Ju-88.  For bombing, we have the He-111, Ju-87, FW190 JaBo, IL-2 and A-20).  Unfortunately we don't use CFS3.

And yes, you can move around to the gunner positions.

If you are over 18 you can apply for free membership.

The website:  http://www.forgottenskies.com

If you aren't eligible for ForgottenSkies, then there are usually servers in HyperLobby (again, not CFS3) and depending on the map, there are often bombers available, with appropriate targets.

There are different rooms, the one you might be interested the most in is the "COOP" room, where there are public COOP missions hosted that anyone can join.  You can go to http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz/ right now and see how many players are currently in there, displayed on the right hand side.  You will see that most players, usually a few hundred, are in "Forgotten Battles", which these days is really "Pacific Fighters - Merged", which means IL2:FB+AEP+PF+3.03 patch.   I think the software might cost about $50 total, maybe less.

(just between you and me, my real name is IV/JG51_L.Z  Wink )

Salute!
