When I create a structure in G-max, how do I know how big it will be when it is installed in FS9?

It will be as big as you create it.  If you make it ten feet, it will be ten feet.

I haven't used Gmax, so this is just a guess. Other design programs with grids usually have a place where you select or define your grid. Look around and see if there is such an option that tells you or allows you to selct "Grid Size" or "Grid Properties".
