Anyone know of a fix for this? I 'upgraded' to DirectX9.0c and bought a new Saitek Cyborg 3D. Now when I start windows (Win98SE) I have to unplug my new stick and re-plug it in to get Windows to recognise it.
I run Stickworks' Joystart in my startup folder and although it blinks red then goes green when Windows start I still have to do the unplug-replug thing to get it to see the thing.

to both of you:
get the latest USB drivers, especially Spitfire5966 as his problem could be USB2.0 related (XP does have the HID part for USB2.0 by default, but not the hardware part)
Russian planes:
IL-76 (all standard length ones)
,
Tu-154 and Il-62
,
Tu-134
and
An-24RV

XP doesn't support USB2.0, so you'll have to get the drivers for the new style USB ports from your mobo manufacturer

Dell support will be able to give you the MOBO manufacturer name.

dell uses their own designs.
check all the ports with a memorystick for testing... if one doesn't work mark it as defective
