As always...

Nice news to hear. It's also good to see the first F2s appearing up at Warton. Considering the aircraft could be in service for 30/40 years its actually quite a good idea to buy as close to the original 232 as we can...

..you try telling the treasury that though Wink

Strange to think DA2s been flying for 10 years too...

Charlie, are you up at Warton? My dad was up there today with the Nimrod, saw a couple of Typhoons going about their business apparently.
As for the further 89, not surprising, still got a ton more to go before they come close to getting back what its cost them Roll Eyes

Nimrod Mr2 fleet's been cut from 21 to 18...

MRA4 order originally 18, probably looking at 12, possibly going to Waddington...

It's being decided at the moment, but don't expect to hear anything before new year, or until after the election (all to do with the Defence Airfield Review). It would be logical progression to have all of the RAF's Surveillance and intel aircraft in one place (E3D, Nimrod R1 + MRA4 and Sentinel) at a superbase, much in the same way all transport is moving to Brize...

And naturally an E-3 took off, Unfortunately it was down the runway away from the viewing area so not too impressive.
