My wife and I ditched the kids yesterday at my parents, jumped on the train and went into Manhattan yesterday . We had tickets to see "Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular"! It was nice to get out and take in the Season's Festivities. Here are a few shots from the day.
Have you ever heard of "The Naked Cowboy"? This guy stands in Times Square at the main intersection and sings in his skeevies all day long. He just stands there and sings out loud. It is really something funny to see, especially watching all the expressions of others as they watch what has become something of a "legend" here in Times Square!
Note: It was 28 degrees out!!!!
After walking 15 blocks, we arrive at Radio City Music Hall, home to many of the great performances ever witnessed here in Manhattan!
Barb and I grab a quick "refreshment" to warm us and I spot an opportunity for a great shot! Smile Honey!!!
Well the show was absolutely incredible. If you are ever in NYC at this time of year and get a chance, go see it. I am now "officially" in the Holiday Spirit! We leave the show and walk two blocks to Rockerfeller Center where the giant tree stands. Below it's huge branches is the skating rink. Here is our view as we sit outside, Barb with a hot Cocoa and me with an Irish Coffee, heavy on the whiskey!!
And here she is, The Rockerfeller Center Christmas Tree. What a sight and what a day. We had a really wonderful day and both realized once again how important it is to take time for yourselves. With the two kids, the two jobs, the house project and everything else, we seldom really don't get to do much for "us". This was a perfect "fix"!!!!!!
Then it was back on the Long Island Rail Road and back home. Hope you liked and "Tis the Season"!! Thanks for watching!!!

Flye, Please man, next time don't start a photo-sequence with a 80% naked guy...
Not when you have that lovely lady at hand, she's far more classy*...
I must say these shots are wonderfull. For me as an European it's nice to see real photo's of New-York. Not the, well can't quite put my finger on it, slightly hazy view we get from it by American TV-series and movies.
I must say the place seems to have a great atmosphere...
Cheers,
Kris
* I don't mean she should be 80% naked, don't get me wrong on that...

funny enough New York is a place i have never wanted to go to, too big and fast paced for me. However it does look beautiful this time of year, great shots Dave.
I have to ask, why does that guy spend his days singing in only his underwear? for charity or just because he can?
