I always wanted to see how the fastest street legal machines would compare on the rack against a Nascar stock car. A Ford GT and one of the specialty prepped but street legal Viper GTS's versus the top Nextel Cup cars. I wonder who would lead who.

Surely you'd need a Mclaren to carry out that experiment. You seem to seriously over rate the GT40. It is a ford remember.

I think the NASCAR would win by one hell of a margin!
Could'nt find a link for a Nascar vs Street Car, as I say, I think its a no-brainer as to whom would win.
Enjoy these.......

make it a zonda or the mclaren f1 road car and it would be pretty close, if you took out some weight from the jaguar XJ220 it would easily match pace with a nascar vehicle. Neither the Ford GT40 or the Viper really come close to those three. Although the Viper is a heck of a car.

Just image what kind of gas those NASCAR and such professional drivers use. That alone gives a huge advantage. With the hot gas they use, they can afford to have very high compression ratios and big cams-something street cars simply can't have due to the gas avilable. That alone gives the NASCAR vehicles one heck of an advantage
