Hi All...this is probably one of the best panels around for the ATR72 but I'm not the only one seeing problems with the gauges on it.....can anyone advise on a fix or point to somewhere I could look for one please?
Thanks..commoner

Strange, those gauges are ALL off center.
Try finding other panels that have very similar gauges and then opening the panel.cfg and replacing the names of the current gauges with the names of the gauges from the other panel(s).

This is a weird one. Looked at it the other day when it first came up. These are all specially created gauges in a cab file so it's amazing that they can be so wrong.
I have a repaint and I wonder if it would be worth searching for the author's original upload to see if they are wrong in that as well. I'd be surprised if they were but I haven't had time to look yet.
Because the gauges are so specific it would be hard to find replacements that look right. I think it would mean just writing the panel off, which would be a great pity.
Last (first?) resort would be to email the person credited with the panel design and see what they say.
BTW Derek, nice to see that someone's still keeping Meigs open and active. Just be careful that Major Daly doesn't send any of his boys round to 'talk' to you...

I wonder if roger would have noticed if you were on the opposite runway. You can not help but miss the obvious buildings that make meigs so well known.
Oh by the way a gutsy task landing that plane at meigs I can understand why the strane look. When I was in the navy we landed a P3-ORION at a general avaition field and talk about some open mouthed stares. The real fun was taking off from this short field, but the pilot used high performance take off And I swear I do not think we used 200 ft of that airstrip. I had no idea a P3 was capeable of such a short takeoff. 8)

...Eureka!..found the darned thing, looks like it WAS an update, "adapted to work in FS2004 by Alberto Cattan Karmy" was the actual phrase. Found it in the colours of Iberian Regional Air Nostrum on FS.Pl****..well, maybe I'd better not say as I have been bawled out on occasion for sending folk off the site
Thanks again for helping out....commoner

Hmm...
It's still not quite right if my copy is anything to go by. If you check out the CRS and HDG bugs you'll find they only increment in 10s of degrees.
This is very common with updated panel files. I found this when I was looking at it today. It's usually a sign that there's another incompatible element in the panel. Quite often it's a switch or something like that.
I can't spend any more time on it unfortunately.
Actually , I must say that I never allow exisitng files to be over-written when I paste gauge files and my HSI is still too large compared to your pic. Also my simicons are still in the original place.
This is when I dump it! Obviously there's more than one 'update' and frankly I can't be bothered any more.
*******************
Ah Derek, you and I DO NOT HAVE the same file as brittair. His has the correct HSI and his simicons are over to the right (the pic on the other site also looks 'wrong' like my panel)
Ok brittair - where d'ya get it....
unless of course brittair is using FS2002 (which it could be from the look of it) inwhich case the panel as issued may still not be FS9 compatible

...mmmm..guess I got a bit over excited there rollerball seeing the gauges centralized
..You are right of course re. the simicons and the increments of 10* and the HSI is too big as well.....Soooo....unless as you say, brittair has FS2002, we have a different panel ??? then I for one will call it quits.....pity though. I really do like it
lol. You gonna come clean brittair?..commoner
