How did you erase the textures that were already there to make it blank again?, that is the biggest problem i have faced, because there are repaint kits for only the default aircraft and a bit more.

on this aircrfat, as it was already mostly white, i just copyed bits from nearby the logos on the atlantic aircraft, and pasted over the text.

On some aircraft I have removed the image completely, and re-build the entire textures, panel lines included.

I find it alot harder to work with an already painted texture, how do you start from scratch and get FS9 to read it correctly?

when it comes to making FS read the file, its the same for any file. It just needs to be the right size (height and width, not kb), and the right format (dxt3 or 32bit)

I prefer working from a bmp with no logos, but panel lines, or better still, a layered paint kit.

to save and open the files you need dxtbmp or imagetool
