Hey People,

I guess most of you might have noticed that when we create a flight planner (say from London to New York) the tower view is not exactly what it is. The view is from miles away and you cannot even see the whole runway leave alone the airport.

But when we select an airport directly (not from flight planner) the tower view is visible.

This does not happen in FS2002. You are always locked on at the departure tower (airport) even when airports are chosen from flight planner.

Can this in any way be rectified?

A temporary fix would be to go into map view and move the tower to the location you desire. I dont know if there is a way to move the tower view permanantly.

on the World Menu, select Map... then either move the little black Tower logo to the location you want. (may want to zoom in - farthest left icon of top toolbar), or you can select tower from the option buttion, top left and enter co-ordinates. Sorry should have been more detailed first time.

I'm extremely sorry, but i can't find the World menu.
Could you please be more specific and give me a detail approach on how to do this.
Sorry for the trouble.

load flight sim

begin flying "fly now"

when the sim loads:

if you are running fullscreen (ie no borders) then press ALT and the menus should appear at the top. The WORLD menu should be the 3rd across from the left is memory serves.

If you are running Windowed mode, eg you have heading bar, min, max and clsoe buttons visable) then you should simply be able to click "World"

Then goto MAP... and continue as previous message

Igorski,

The tower view can only be changed when you DON'T create a flight from the flight planner.

Create a flight from the flight planner and then go to world---->map----> and try changing the tower view. You'll notice that there is NO tower icon present.

Anyway, thanks.
