It's Terragen, I'll bet! The terrain rendering utility referenced in this thread. It seems to do really cool things!

Lol,yeah,I remember Terragen. I was quite addicted to it some time ago.
The rendering of the images took about two hours (for a 800*600 pic!) on my old K6/333. Grin
