Hi there, I'm new round here and this is no doubt a real dumb question but I will ask it anyway!
What is the difference (if any) between FS2002 standard edition and the professional editon. I am wanting to move up from FS98, I am just a bit confused as to which one to purchase.
Thanks for your help.

Well first of all you get more planes with the pro edition, 4 to be precise. Also some of the FS9 planes will not work in FS2k2 standard but they will in FS2k2 pro.

My advice i to get the pro edition.

I have FS2002 Standard and a cousin of mine has Pro. There was no difference at all in graphics at all. And wow, 4 extra planes.. IMO the default planes (except the cessna 172/182) are not realistic. Save yourself the money, get standard, download Gmax, and if you have a decent PC get FS9. Im fine with a middle class computer, because Im still getting 25+ fps, on average 28. Smiley

Yes but with those 4 extra planes you also get teh gauges to and when people make panels for the planes they use those gauges and if they don't include them in the download then you have to try and find them for yourself.

Thank you all for the help, I will get the pro edition. I would like to get FS9 but I only have a PIII 550Mhz and 16Mb video card and I think that it won't cut it with FS9!!
Thanks again for being so helpful.

No one. However i'm thinking off when he is downloading aircraft and the panels for those aircraft use those gauges then he'll have to hunt round for those gauge files.

Following on from the topic of the extra gauges, I have downloaded quite a few aircraft for FS98 so I will no doubt do the same for FS02, so it would be handy to have the gauges all ready - besides the time spent hunting the net for the gauges etc that I need is less time spent flying!
